March 15 Commemoration (2025/03/16)

March 15th Commemoration in Dallas

March 15 Commemoration

On Sunday, March 16, we gathered in quite a large number, mostly the usual company, to commemorate the Hungarian revolution of 1848 with the screening of the film "Now or Never." The audience enjoyed the film very much, some of them were even brought to tears by patriotic feelings.

After the film, to Father Julius' delight, more people attended the Hungarian Mass than the usual.

The third part of the commemoration took place in the school’s dining room. It was funny when everyone had gathered and I announced that there would be no special program or speeches today, only dinner and chit-chat, they were as happy as schoolkids when they are told that their teacher is missing! It was a pleasure to see our friends, socializing for hours, enjoying each other's company. I thought that if there was no program, we would finish early, but there was no chance of that happening, it all ended at the usual time.

The success of our program makes me extremely happy. I would like to thank not only my helpers in organizing the event, but also Agnes Takacs, who by sending us the movie's poster from Hungary, sparked the idea of screening the film. Also my sincere gratitude to the indispensable participants, and our numerous financial and moral supporters.

For your enjoyment, view these pictures taken at the event.
