Wishing you a Happy New Year!
In Our Lady of Dallas Cistercian Abbey, we closed the year with Christmas-themed Holy Mass. The Hungarian language service was held by Fathers Gyula Lelóczky and Bernard Marton with the help of Brother Nivárd and Véssey Lilla's reading. The already festive atmosphere was enhanced by singing Christmas carols. Thanks to the impromptu soloists (Ilona Pesti, Emese Greksa and Ildikó Edenhoffer), who led the singing of popular Christmas songs accompanied by Enikő Howard on the organ.
After the mass at Lamberti's Restaurant, a Certificate of Recognition was presented to Enikő with our gratitude for providing the organ music for the many years of playing during the Hungarian Masses.
While enjoying the brunch, we said goodbye to 2024 and greeted the New Year with champagne courtesy of Attila Hertelendy.
