DFW Hungarian community surprises Fr. Julius Leloczky (2024/10/20)
The DFW Hungarian community surprised Fr. Julius Leloczky with a bronze memorial plaque, on the 68th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
Last Sunday we not only commemorated the Hungarian Revolution's 68th anniversary at the Cistercian Abbey in Irving, but we honored one of our own, our loved and respected Father Julius.
He was clearly touched by the wonderful bronze plaque and everything that followed the reveal. Lou Ott's speech, picture slide show, toast with Hungarian wine and cake. We all the enjoyed the delicious food and his happiness.
I'd like to thank every person or family who, through their generous donations or other contributions, made this happen. Also, it is admirable that we could keep it a secret, which made it even more special for him!
Those who could not be present, may see the pictures here.
