2024 Fall Festival Report (2024/10/04)

On Saturday afternoon, September 28, we enjoyed the arrival of autumn in the company of many dear Hungarian and American friends. The atmosphere was pleasant, and there was delicious, authentic, Hungarian food along with the beautiful Hungarian music of the Pacsirtak.

Like any other gathering of this size – especially when we cook the food ourselves – many people dedicated hours of strenuous volunteer labor. This event was no exception, with a team of at least 20 volunteers baking, cooking, decorating, serving or cleaning up – we made more than 100 guests very happy. Kudos to each and everyone.

The Jókai bean soup, homemade sausage served with sauerkraut/fried onions, and the heavenly dessert called Kremes, were praised by all. The Pacsirtak entertained the guests with a lively program. Everyone visibly enjoyed the afternoon.

Many thanks go to the organizers, volunteers and grateful guests for this Hungarian get-together.

I hope we will have the opportunity to plan many more similar parties in the future.
