Hungarian Language and History Classes in DFW (2022/09/15)

The Weekend Hungarian language and history classes will come to an end on September 24.

Hungarian Language and History Classes in DFW

This year, for the first time – thanks to grants from the Bethlen Gábor Fund, and some dedicated MMCC volunteers – we offered classes in two locations: Plano and North Richland Hills. This year our students were all adults and comprised of Americans (of Hungarian descent), American spouses, or girlfriends of Hungarians, who were eager to learn about the Hungarian language, culture, and history. Their diligence was amazing!

Several people have already asked if they could get private lessons after the free lessons end. In addition to teaching this difficult language, we also introduced them to several delicacies from Hungarian cuisine, such as goulash, lecsó, palacsinta! I can say that the Hungarian food sampling was also very successful!

We hope that in the future we’ll be able to continue this useful and pleasant tradition. This way, we not only make the Americans aware of our language, culture, and heritage but we create new friendships.
