October Commemoration Report (2021/11/10)

Sorry for writing this short report little bit late, but because of family health issues, I was not ableto be present at the ceremony. It also took a few days to collect the all the personal experiences and opinions from those who were present. Everyone praised the young "waitresses”, but their presence was especially appreciated by the 56-ers. Thanks to Gabi Darvas for training the girls and managing the serving of food.

Special recognition was given to Edina Pástyik and the string quartet, who amazed the audience with Hungarian hits. In addition, drummer Kevin Cho, was also a pleasant surprise as it is rare to listen to chamber music accompanied by a drummer.

The delicious dinner catered by Brigitta's Hungarian Restaurant. While the appetizers and the Hungarian wines were also praised, perhaps the greatest success were the fabulous desserts prepared by Rózika Aday!

For our 56-er friends, a video was shown which recognized each one of them. It meant so much, that some had to fight off tears as they listened to the moving presentations given by Ilona Pesti, Dániel Kádár and Ágnes Csiffary, in addition to a  recitation by Edina Balogh. 

Many of the guests shared their appreciation and praise for the event. I hope all who attended felt likewise and left with good memories of this noble anniversary celebration.

I would like to thank the enthusiastic team, all those who worked tirelessly to successfully conduct the ceremony and provided the much-needed assistance before and after the event.
