2019 commemoration of the 1956 Hungarian Revolt (2019/10/23)

Our commemoration of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution will be held in the Cistercian Preparatory School Cafeteria on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 5 PM after the Hungarian Mass, which will start at 4 PM. At the conclusion of the mass, there will be a wreath laid at the relocated Kopjafa monument. This operation was funded from a generous grant from the Hungarian Embassy and a sizable contribution by MMCC and the Cistercian Abbey. In the school cafeteria we’ll continue the program. Following a short commemorative speech there will be poems and music dedicated to the heroes of the revolution. The usual potluck dinner and social time will conclude the event.

Please bring your favorite Hungarian dishes or desserts, enough to share with others to make our event as enjoyable as possible. The club will provide soft drinks, water, ice and table settings.
Everyone is cordially invited to attend!
