March 2025 Commemoration-Movie-EN (2025/03/16)

We are pleased to announce that we have received a one-time distribution right for the premiere of the film “Now or Never” for a cost of $600. It will be shown March 16 in the Cistercian Preparatory School theater.

The film is about the events of March 15, 1848. This is a new production with modern actors and English subtitles! 

We encourage parents to bring their children so they can get to know and understand the importance of this significant event in Hungarian history. 

Since the film is subject to royalties, all interested parties are kindly asked to donate $10 per adult and $5 for each child over the age of 12. You can do this in advance by selecting the “Donation” category on the homepage of the www.magyarszo.net website where you can pay by credit card. In the comment box, please mark Hungarian film contribution. (We get notified of all donations, so we don’t have to send tickets.) 

We will gladly accept checks or cash on site.

When: 1:00 p.m. (Film run time: 2 hours and 15 minutes) 
Where: Cistercian school Theater (not in the dining room!) This is the building with a black roof behind the school. 
Address: 3660 Cistercian Road, Irving, TX 75039
Mass: The program will continue with the 4 p.m. Mass in the church.
Dinner: Approximately 5:00 p.m.       
Parking: Drive to the upper parking lot (wheelchair accessible).

You may bring water for the film, but food is not allowed. Leave the food brought for the potluck in the school kitchen before coming to the theater. 

There will be no commemorative program, only eating/drinking/talking accompanied by Kossuth or revolutionary songs.
